Working in NYC affords me a plethora of opportunities to get stuck on the remarkably delayed PATH train visit art exhibits and galleries on a whim!

I must admit, this is a rather new hobby of mine — and my appreciation for art is still developing. Sometimes I just don’t feel like looking at stuff. Or, at least that’s my shallow way of putting it. But this concept of interactive art that I’m seeing more and more of really amuses me. It grants lay persons, such as myself, a way to interpret things in a manner that doesn’t feel stuffy. I can appreciate the displays simply for the pleasure of having fun with it. Sure, I’m sure the artists have a much grander meaning in their minds — as well as art connoisseurs, something I’ve never claimed to be.

So here are some fun shots I got at the “Toiletpaper Paradise” exhibit created by artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrai of Toiletpaper Magazine at the Cadillac House in the maaaybe West Village??? I don’t know I’m trerible at defining neighborhoods NYC!

The space is not that large, although there is definitely plenty to see! I encourage anyone to go out there and play and interact with everything from the life size crocodile alligator??? to the mid-century modern furniture. But get there soon! Hours are from 8 am – 7 pm on weekdays, and 10 am – 5 pm on weekends and will only be available until April 12th! The Cadillac House also has a cafe indoors which makes a pretty good latte!

So get down there! Maybe it will blow your mind?
